Kelsey Selby
Co-Founder & CEO
Kelsey Selby came to Luna Nueva as an
insider to the life the brand was built for.
Growing up in a household where good food and drink were celebrated nightly — seasonal ingredients, considered wine pairings, a table that was always set with intention — she developed an early understanding of hospitality and the specific pleasure of a room where everything feels right.
She spent her years in Los Angeles deepening it: specialty grocers and farmers markets, the best restaurants in the city, an ongoing education in what makes people feel well taken care of. A good life, she learned early, is built around great food, great drinks, and the people you share them with.
An act of hospitality.
That instinct is what she brought to Luna Nueva. Knowing the bartender’s name, making sure everyone at the table feels it, caring for the people who drink this brand — that has always been an act of hospitality for her.
What she saw was that her generation lived differently, chose differently. They are selective. And when they decide to drink, they want something that feels unmistakably theirs: clean, additive-free, made with real craft, and belonging to the culture they actually live in.
Built from the ground up.
She spent the last several years building Luna Nueva from the ground up: learning the liquid, cultivating the relationship with the Vivanco family distillery in the Highlands of Jalisco, and creating a presence in Los Angeles through community, events, and genuine belonging.
Luna Nueva is the first expression of a larger vision — one that sits at the intersection of hospitality, food, craft, and gathering. The tequila is where it begins, but the life it belongs to is much larger than a bottle.
